Job Summary As the Manager, Communications - Engagement you will play a critical role as a strategic partner to ensure staff feel informed, engaged, involved and valued. Through the development and delivery of a communications and staff engagement strategy, this role will put purpose and engagement at the center of our staff communications. This role will also develop content and implement internal communication strategies and plans that engage, align and inspire employees with Charles River's vision and business strategy and drive employees' understanding of and engagement with Charles River's priorities and key initiatives. In addition, this role will develop and publish content using electronic tools, including Sharepoint, Poppulo, and Digital Signage. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
o Partner with General Manager, Human Resources and Corporate Communications to develop and implement a communications and employee engagement strategy which supports the delivery of strategic priorities, ensures key messages are communicated consistently and encourages two-way communication and feedback. o Develop diverse communication channels, e.g. newsletter, intranet, social media, print, digital signage and email as the appropriate means for communicating with staff depending on the nature and context of different communications. o Ensure internal communications messages are consistent across all mediums and are consistent with external communication messages. o Responsible for planning, writing, editing, and publishing content across the range of internal communications channels. o Measure the effectiveness of internal communications messages and channels on an ongoing basis and make recommendations to review and amend the strategy as appropriate. o Work with senior stakeholders and leaders to build their capabilities for effective communications and engagement with staff. o Develop an intranet content management strategy to ensure intranet content has clear ownership and is kept relevant and up to date. o Develop and monitor the budget for internal communications and staff engagement activities. o Establish effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders through networking and membership of relevant committees and working groups. o Perform all other related duties as assigned. Qualifications:
o Education:
Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent in communications, web technologies, marketing or related discipline. o
Experience:
7 - 10 years related experience in corporate communications with a focus on internal audiences and content and digital channel development. o An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above. o Certification/Licensure:

Excellent writing and marketing skills required. Proficiency in creating word-processed documents, spreadsheets and presentations required. SharePoint, PowerPoint and other digital platform skills preferred. Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
Communications & PREstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
