54 an hour Mattawan Consolidated Schools is seeking bus drivers to join our Transportation Department.
Prior experience operating a school bus is NOT a requirement.
We are willing to train the right applicants.
To become a Mattawan school bus driver, you must have or be willing to obtain the following
Qualifications:
At least 21 years old Strong references and be of good moral character High school diploma or equivalent Ability to relate effectively with parents, staff and public Pass the DOT physical standards required by PA 187' administered by our doctor(s).
Submit to and pass a criminal history background check Pass a preliminary drug screen test Must have a clean (two points or less) driving record Must have or be able to obtain a commercial driver's license that includes the following endorsements:
Chauffeurs, Class B, P, and S endorsements, as well as air brake endorsement Train for and pass a road skill test Must enroll in a three-day beginning bus drive class provided by MCS Must take 6 hours of continuing education classes every two years (at district discretion, may require yearly classes) Job Type:
