Responsibilities:
This position is responsible to work collaboratively within the Continuous Improvement Program Office
of the Operational Excellence department, and cross-functionally across business units, utilizing Lean Six
Sigma (LSS) methodology to lead teams and facilitate tools, in support of process improvement related
initiatives, training, analysis, and measurement. The position may also mentor other LSS-certified
individuals, providing support and guidance in their development.
(Duties & Responsibilities purpose of the function and result to be accomplished) include but are not limited to those listed:
Independently facilitates and leads project teams using LSS methodologies.
Identifies needs and proposes recommendations to increase quality, efficiency, productivity, customer
satisfaction, profit and revenue generation, and reduce cycle time.
Provides education, training, and reinforcement in support of continuous improvement throughout the
organization; including but not limited to LSS and Self Directed Work Team programs, and corporate
continuous process improvement training programs.
Trains and coaches Green Belts, Black Belts-in-training, and other staff involved in leading
continuous improvement efforts on team leadership, and LSS tools and methodology.
Analyzes and tracks the status of identified issues, problems, and trends.
Actively leads process improvement metrics development and analysis to identify opportunities for
improvement.
Successfully manages assigned project and departmental goals, timelines, and deliverables with
minimal supervision.
Assist in administering and leading departmental processes and service areas.
Punctual and reliable attendance according to MPI Research company policy.
Qualifications:
BS, related industry experience, and 3-5 years of experience in continuous improvement work; Black
Belt certification required.
Proven experience in leading global continuous improvement and/or change management initiatives.
Proven communication and presentation skills; demonstrated leadership and problem solving
capabilities.
Basic familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
Computer skills, commensurate with Essential Functions and including ability to learn a validated
system.
Ability to work extended hours beyond normal work schedule to include, but not limited to, evenings,
weekends, extended shifts and/or extra shifts, sometimes on short notice.
Ability to work under specific time constraints.
