Staff Veterinarian

Job Summary   We are seeking a Staff Veterinarian for our Office of Animal Care Team located in Mattawan, MI.    The Staff Veterinarian position is responsible for providing consultation, oversight, and direct support of veterinary care activities for all animals used by MPI Research; assisting the Attending Veterinarian and IACUC to ensure compliance with animal welfare standards and regulations by AAALAC, Int., USDA, and PHSOLAW; and supporting the evaluation of test article effects by performing examinations and making assessments to interpret study effects on animals.   The following are the minimum requirements related to the Staff Veterinarian position.   DVM or equivalent degree obtained from an AVMA accredited institution with 0-5 years of relevant experience. Licensure to practice veterinary medicine in at least one state, preferred. USDA accreditation, preferred. Basic familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite. Computer skills, commensurate with Essential Functions and including ability to learn a validated system. Ability to work extended hours beyond normal work schedule to include, but not limited to, evenings, weekends, extended shifts and/or extra shifts, sometimes on short notice. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
